reBlog from chronicillnesspaindevotionals.wordpress.com: Chronic Illness Pain Daily Devotionals

I found this fascinating quote today:

Recently I read a story that Philip Yancey records in his book on Prayer,”* about a lady in Nepal who was stricken with leprosy and had lost parts of her hands, feet, face and even her sight. She was the kind of person whose appearance would stop many people from wanting to come close to her, or maybe even notice her. Philip goes on to tell how she was a beautiful Christian lady who really shined the light of Christ to those who met her and helped take care of her. He also shared how he keeps a picture he took of this lady and his wife on his desk to remind him of the beauty that God sees, rather than the trappings of beauty the world seems to think matter.chronicillnesspaindevotionals.wordpress.com, Chronic Illness Pain Daily Devotionals, May 2010

"I will remember the deeds of the Lord..."

I found this fascinating quote today:
“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” (Psalm 77:11).chronicillnesspaindevotionals.wordpress.com, Chronic Illness Pain Daily Devotionals, May 2010

Oh my poor...

...Blog. I've neglected you so callously in the last months. Would it help if I told you I was sick? No: because as you so obviously know, sickness is the reason for this Blog. Bear with me while I finish this latest course of antibiotics judiciously prescribed by my guileless, proficient ENT, Dr. S. Radgens, and I promise, God willing, I'll get back to you soon. LM

This young lady has a powerful, passionate voice, that has blessed me many times over. Enjoy...
